Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and GL Code Management
Conduct in-depth analysis of accounting General Ledger codes to accurately categorize and track all income and expensesDevelop expertise in the company's chart of accounts structure to ensure proper classification of financial transactionsPerform regular reconciliations to identify discrepancies in financial recordsGenerate detailed breakdowns of revenue streams to differentiate various income sourcesBudget Management
Create and maintain Business Unit wallet budgets based on GL code analysisDevelop budget templates for different departments / business unitsTrack actual spending against budgeted amounts and report variancesAssist in budget forecasting and revisions based on financial performanceTax Planning and Audit Support
Study and implement financial audit processes with focus on tax exception opportunitiesMaintain documentation for potential tax audits and ensure compliance with tax regulationsSupport external auditors during review processes by providing necessary financial recordsIdentify and recommend tax-saving strategies within legal compliance frameworksBranch Performance Reporting
Prepare monthly closing reports for all sales branchesCalculate and analyze Profit & Loss statements by branchIdentify performance trends across different locationsPresent findings to management with actionable insights for improvementExpense Control and Planning
Analyze previous year's expenditures to establish cost control benchmarksIdentify areas for potential cost reduction without compromising operational efficiencyDevelop and implement expense control policies and proceduresMonitor ongoing expenses against historical data to prevent budget overrunsReporting Structure
