Job Scope / Responsibilities :

Editorial support

Set deadlines and specifications for the writing of manuscripts.
Monitor writers' writing progress based on agreed schedules.
Evaluate writers' sample.
Edit manuscripts thoroughly and correctly.
Sourcing of information, data, photographs, etc.
Set selling points for front and back matters of books to be published.
Ensure all projects assigned are accomplished on time.

Production support

Coordinate with creative staff pertaining to suitable illustrations, graphics, typesetting, layouts and corrections.

Prepare heading and icon design lists.

Set heading and icon designs.

Final checking before printing and publishing

S&M support

Brief marketing representatives on selling points for newly released titles.

Liaise with the Marketing Department for feedback on newly released titles.

Requirements :

Applicant must have minimum a Degree or Diploma in Pure Science / Math or equivalent and taken Pure Science in SPM.

Applicant must have good grades in Bahasa Melayu, English & Mandarin for SPM to handle translation, writing and proofreading mainly for SJK(C) book titles.

Familiar with current Malaysian SJK(C) Secondary & Primary Education syllabus will be added advantage.

Fresh graduate will also be considered.

Pay : RM1, RM4,000.00 per month
