Job Description
- Managing the construction process, supervising all on-site activity, and responding to delays.
- Collaborating with specialists such as architects, engineers and local government officials for permits and licenses, contractors and clients.
- Ordering equipment and materials, managing their use and managing the personnel involved.
- Enforcing safety procedures, minimizing risk, and ensuring the use of protective clothing, hard hats, harnesses and other safety equipment.
- Monitoring the performance of contractors, such as plumbers, painters, and carpenters.
- Ensuring that the site is free of potential hazards and that the crew is practicing safety measures.
- Liaising with a consultant to be informed of any new information, such as revised construction drawings or a specific site instruction from the client.
- Checking that all the equipment needed for the project is available on site.
- Taking responsibility for managing project profitability and optimizing resource allocation.
- Ensuring project handover requirements are met, obtaining necessary sign-offs and documentation from authorized personnel.
- Any other responsibilities assigned.
Job Requirements
Possess a bachelor degree in construction project management, architecture, civil engineering, or a related field.At least 5 years of working experience in the construction industry, with opportunities for senior / manager positions for experienced candidates.Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Analytical with planning and organizational skills. Strong knowledge of construction management, contract administration and budgeting.Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office.Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
