Job description

Requirements

  • Proven experience in F&B supervisory or team lead roles (Japanese restaurant experience preferred)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Fluent in English and basic proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese is an added advantage
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant operation checklists
  • Experienced preferred
  • Mandaring skill is an advantage

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

Daily Operations & Customer Service

  • Oversee daily front-of-house (FOH) operations to ensure smooth service flow
  • Greet guests and ensure they receive excellent service throughout their visit
  • Manage customer complaints promptly and professionally
  • Team Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate service crew members
  • Schedule shifts and monitor staff performance and punctuality
  • Conduct daily briefings to align the team on priorities, promotions, and standards
  • Quality Control

  • Ensure all food and beverages served meet GEN's quality standards
  • Monitor hygiene, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the restaurant
  • Coordination & Reporting

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to coordinate service
  • Report daily sales, issues, and operational updates to management
  • Assist in stock level monitoring and liaising with procurement when needed
  • Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with DBKL, Bomba, and health & safety regulations
  • Enforce internal SOPs and ensure all team members follow proper protocols
