The Job
The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
Responsibilities
Meet and exceed sales targetsSuccessfully create business from new and existing customer accountsManage complex negotiations with senior-level executivesBuild rapport and establish long term relationships with customersMaximize sales growth in specified geographical territories, consistent with the company strategy and objectivesResponsible for Sales Planning and Forecasting activities to support the businessIdentify leads and market potential to expand customer base, through exploration of the marketResponsible to develop new accounts to expand existing business for the portfolio of products and technologyEvaluate new opportunities in researching market size and potential of tie-ups with key accountsAccountable for existing and new business activities including and not limited to pricing, contract negotiations, tender submissions, technical support and coordinationDrive and realization of new business plan implementation and potential key accountsPlan and execute sales and marketing activities to achieve annual sales target, market share and marketing goals in assigned territoriesConduct regular sales and marketing activitiesBe the key contact point of customer for sales, services, technical support request.Maintain sales recordProvide end-user-oriented introduction, organize application and training activitiesFollow-up to customersCoordinate customer complaints in a timely and organized mannerGather market information and generate sales reportsPrepare monthly / quarterly sales performance report.Monitor monthly performance against set targets, and ensure timely / accurate reporting for immediate actions in case of deviationsWork closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer expectation / requirements are metMaintain high customer satisfaction ratingsAny other projects to be assignedThe Profile
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skillsMinimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree & above in related Science / Engineering fieldsMinimum 1-2 years working experience in related sales environment in products and services such as Bioprocess, System technology, Life Sciences or lab Consumables, Instrumentation is preferredGood understanding of Pharma / Bioprocessing Market and related procedures is desirablePrior work experience in utilisation of funnel and forecast tools is desirableSelf-motivated and independent with ability to work in a matrix –reporting, diverse working environmentGood verbal, written communication and presentation skills.A team player with good interpersonal skillsAbility to build relationships with key opinion leaders and representatives in the territory and in the specialty segment.Occasional travel (10-20%) might be requiredThe Employer
