Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of software development experience involving system integration projects (telecom experience a plus). Strong Python development skills, with proven experience in API / backend development. Ability to analyze Java codebases and translate functionality into Python. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native systems. Familiarity with open-source tools and frameworks, including setup / configuration. Knowledge of databases (MySQL, Oracle, Redis or NoSQL). Virtual machine or cloud infrastructure experience is an advantage. Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work independently and in distributed teams. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to turn ideas into practical solutions. Experience in the telecommunications industry is an added advantage. Self-driven, able to work with minimal guidance, and comfortable thinking outside the box. Key Account Manager @ UST Malaysia | Transforming Lives with Digital Transformation
Main Responsibilities
- Work with system architects and product owners to understand functional requirements and contribute to overall solution design.
- Design and develop Python-based APIs and services, deployed on Kubernetes clusters.
- Reverse-engineer existing Java applications and refactor / rewrite them into Python.
- Create and maintain technical documentation (e.g., flowcharts, diagrams, design docs).
- Participate in system architecture discussions, including scalability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and maintainability considerations.
