A leading industrial solutions provider is seeking a dynamic and strategic Managing Director to lead operations across the SEA region. This role requires a visionary leader to drive growth, ensure operational excellence, and foster innovation across all business functions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build and adapt organizations in across the SEA region to meet current and future customer needs.
- Oversee all business functions including Sales, Project Execution, Customer Service, Finance, and HR.
- Ensure healthy local finances and meet budget targets for revenue, profitability, costs, and capital investments.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, taxation laws, and risk management practices.
- Make strategic decisions in alignment with corporate directives and authority scope.
- Develop and implement short- and mid-term growth strategies aligned with market needs and competitive landscape.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market studies and collaboration with business units.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, authorities, and political bodies.
- Align with regional and global teams to support sales, customer service, and project execution.
- Ensure legal setup and infrastructure to support business operations.
- Lead key account management and personally manage strategic customer relationships.
- Oversee marketing initiatives including events, exhibitions, and seminars.
- Conduct regular business reviews to monitor sales opportunities and team performance.
- Generate local business opportunities to sustain and finance operations.
Key Requirements :
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or similar field of studyMBA is highly preferredMinimum twenty years of commercial, strategy, technical sales and business management experience, preferably within the engineering services industryPrior experience within the industrial equipment industry would be idealPossess strong business acumen, influential, operations process driven and focused on driving operations excellenceProven track record of driving growth and building strong customer relationships in technical product domainsExperience with sales and fulfillment processes for industrial equipment and investment projectsProven experience as a Managing Director or in other senior managerial positionsAbility to conduct market and competitive analysis to develop profitable business strategiesExceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and make tough decisionsExperience in developing profitable strategies and implementing visionStrong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principlesAn entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skillsCapable of resolving conflicts, demonstrating visionary leadership, and possessing the foresight to strategically plan for the business's future
