Job Description

  • Drive sales and provide end-to-end support for the company's product portfolio, including integrated solution services.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the assigned territory, while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.
  • Oversee the complete sales cycle—from initial engagement to quotation, negotiation, and closing—in collaboration with the Inside Sales team.
  • Leverage CRM tools to manage leads, monitor opportunities, and enhance sales pipeline efficiency.
  • Assist in resolving outstanding payments and contribute to inventory optimization by reducing aged stock.
  • Prepare tailored proposals, quotations, and agreements, and deliver impactful product and service presentations to clients.
  • Provide expert guidance to customers, ensuring solutions are aligned with their operational needs.
  • Establish strong rapport with clients, set clear sales targets, and continuously work to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Generate regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and progress against targets.
  • Work closely with teams across sales, marketing, operations, and finance to achieve business objectives.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and uncover new opportunities.
  • Support senior leadership in planning, forecasting, and managing key accounts as needed.
  • The Successful Applicant

    We are looking for a Senior Business Development candidate with experience in solution-based selling to be based at Penang. The ideal candidate should have :

  • At least 5 years in sales / business development in trading, manufacturing, or industrial products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in negotiation and persuasive presentations
  • Proficient in consultative and solution-based selling
  • Ability to assess customer needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Experienced in lead generation, qualification, and market development
  • Competent in managing sales pipelines and forecasting
  • Skilled in contract negotiation and closing deals
  • Capable of writing proposals and building business cases
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance)
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
