Reporting to : General Manager

This role is responsible for overseeing the purchasing and forecasting of both domestic and imported products across core and promotional categories to ensure assured supply for operations in Singapore.

The incumbent will lead the Demand and Supply Planning department, managing inventory levels and optimizing supply chain performance to meet business and customer expectations.

The position requires close collaboration with customers, 3 PLs, managed freight forwarding partners, and internal stakeholders across Singapore and Malaysia. The role is critical in driving cost efficiencies, enhancing quality, and ensuring operational continuity through robust demand forecasting, strategic supplier management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Supply & Inventory Planning

o   Ensure assured product supply through effective inventory planning and timely execution.

o   Optimize inventory turnover and adjust inventory holding days in alignment with client and business expectations.

o   Manage product supply planning and forecasting, promotional planning and contingency supply strategies.

o   Lead inventory stock count, Implement continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and efficiency.

  • Supplier & Logistics Management
  • o   Manage supplier relationships and drive improvements in procurement and supply chain processes.

    o   Oversee 3 PL, transport partner, distribution centre partner, freight forwarding performance to ensure cost-effectiveness, service quality, and on-time deliveries.

    o   Address cross-border logistics challenges, working with freight partners and government agencies to ensure regulatory compliance and timely inbound shipments.

    o   Develop and implement supplier performance management programs and strategic sourcing initiatives.

    o   Develop strategies to enhance value creation and strengthen operational flow from suppliers to Distribution centre.

  • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • o   Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing supply planning team.

    o   Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and external partners to influence supply chain strategy and outcomes.

    o   Set clear direction and provide guidance to the supply planning team through effective scheduling, resources optimization and continuous improvement.

    o   Respond proactively to supply disruptions and supplier conformance, non- performance, offering cost effective mitigation strategies.

  • Systems & Data Management
  • o   Oversee JDE master data management and pricing management.

    o   Leverage data and analytical tools to support budgeting, risk management and performance tracking.

    o   Drive cost savings through system enhancements and the elimination of inefficiencies in supply chain processes.

  • Customer-Centric Service Delivery
  • o   Act as the primary escalation point for out-of-stock and excess stock issues with customers.

    o   Champion cross-functional initiatives to enhance service levels and supply chain responsiveness.

    o   Identify and implement initiatives to continually elevate the performance of the supply chain function.

    o   Manage the team to appropriate standards of professionalism with stakeholder and supplier engagement.

  • People Management
  • o   Participate in recruitment activities as and when relevant employee selection, career development, succession planning.

    o   After which, ensure appropriate training and development plans are in place for all staff as part of the talent management process

    o   Performance management of staff as required

    Preferred Skills and Experience :

    Qualifications / Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar supply chain or purchasing role, with at least 5 years in leadership capacity.
  • Industry experience in FMCG, Distribution and / or Food Service preferred.
  • Proven experience managing 3PLs, freight forwarding companies and international logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of import operations, port-to-DC coordination, and customs compliance.
  • Inventory control experience in a warehouse setting – daily cycle counts, full stock inventories.
  • Demonstrated expertise in demand forecasting, supply planning and inventory control in warehouse environment – daily cycle counts, full stock inventories.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end supply chain initiatives, including S&OP and supply chain network optimization.
  • Proficiency with database and ERP systems (preferably JDE).
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated people management and development experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast- paced, promotional-driven environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Does not require Company sponsorship to work in Singapore.
