Job descriptionManage seafreight import / export operations, ensuring timely and smooth cargo movement. Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, and forwarding partners to negotiate rates, secure bookings, and resolve operational issues. Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies. Lead, train, and supervise a team of seafreight coordinators to foster a high-performance work environment. Oversee seafreight costing, including rate quotations, invoicing, and profitability analysis. Monitor shipment status, troubleshoot delays or discrepancies, and provide updates to clients and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation and records for all seafreight transactions. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization. Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to meet client expectations and operational goals. Minimum of 3 years of experience in seafreight operations, logistics, or freight forwarding. Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs compliance. Experience in rate negotiations, cost management, and profitability analysis. Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
