Assistant Manager, Group Risk and Quality
The Group Risk and Quality Assistant Manager works across Sunway Healthcare Group in Enterprise Risk Management. The individual also ensures compliance with accreditation and / or patient safety standards across non-hospital healthcare operations, i.e., Home Healthcare, Traditional Complementary Medicine, and Fertility services. Independently performs a variety of audits, surveillance activities, quality improvement initiatives, and analysis of the data, as well as ensures compliance with regulatory audits and quality standards. Serves as support for on-site surveys and works with others to facilitate system processes and outcome improvements. Oversees the policy life cycle process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Risk and Quality Officer in updating the master listing of the risk register, compile risks submitted by respective Heads in the risk register.
- Schedule risk presentation during the quarterly Risk Review Management meeting chaired by the President.
- Engage ERM Champions and Managers to update, complete, and submit risk reports.
- Compile and consolidate ERM and Compliance reports from Quality Heads or PIC from the hospital and Group Corporate Centers – ensuring submission deadlines and completeness.
- Update the quarterly ERM database for presentation to the Risk Management Committee.
- Attend to audits by external and internal auditors under the Manager's guidance.
Accreditation and Audits
Maintain responsibility for ensuring that all accreditation and regulatory standards related to licensure / accreditation are being met.Work closely with respective heads to coordinate survey follow-up activities, including plans of action, monitoring systems, clarifications, and challenges.Schedule and coordinate survey-related activities, including but not limited to agendas, site visits, and educational opportunities.Develop and oversee the implementation of corrective action plans to address survey findings. Monitor and analyze all data related to action plans and report results to leadership.Continuous Quality Improvement Culture
Promote Patient Safety Culture and Quality Improvement activities for the hospital, such as Patient Safety Week, Root Cause Analysis, and publish Quality news.Coordinate routine reporting processes utilizing metrics to monitor the impact of process improvement.Policy Review
Coordinate review and revisions of organization-wide policies and procedures for Sunway Healthcare Group to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Coordinate review cycle and work across the organization to accomplish on-time reviews ensuring policy and procedure are accurate, reflect best practices, and meet regulatory requirements.Execute quality review of policy and procedure to ensure consistency and clarity.Seek appropriate staff feedback through multiple channels and ensure staff can navigate the policy portal.Hospital Incidents Reporting
Coordinate with heads of non-hospital operations to ensure closure of the incident investigation within the time frame.Compile and analyze monthly incident reports and report to the Chief Risk and Quality Officer and the President.Performance Indicators
Review and compile performance indicators monitored by non-hospital operations and provide feedback to respective heads when necessary.Provide a briefing to Heads on the planning of performance indicators.Provide advice to heads of non-hospital operations on data collection methodology, data validation, and graphical data presentation.Who are we looking for
Degree in relevant areas to management / administration.Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in risk and / or quality-related work in the healthcare industry.Understand Enterprise Risk Management and the various quality improvement tools.Proofreading abilities and able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, while meeting deadlines for assigned projects.Professional written and verbal communication skills, and able to communicate effectively and collaboratively as part of a team in a respectful manner.Strong computer skills to learn new programs as quickly as possible. Experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat is a must.Abide by hospital values and understand the healthcare setting and various regulatory requirements.Ability to work independently, a self-starter.Has good problem-solving skills, analytical, and can maintain confidentiality.Your application will include the following questions :
