Overview
As the Manager for Infrastructure & System Maintenance (Information Technology Department) at Bank of China (M) Berhad, you will play a key role in managing and supporting core IT infrastructure, focusing on network and system administration. This full-time position is based in our Kuala Lumpur head office.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support PayNet and BNM-related platforms, ensuring system reliability and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and execute network changes, including patching, switch upgrades, firewall migrations, and circuit cutovers.
- Liaise with Parent Bank network and infrastructure teams on configuration planning, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in the execution and validation of system disaster recovery (DR) exercises, system failover, and network redundancy testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, system configurations, and change records.
- Support ad-hoc technical initiatives, audits, or cross-department projects as assigned.
- Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of systems, databases, SAN, data backup, antivirus systems, and data center infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to identify, resolve, and track technical problems on the bank's systems and software.
- Stay updated on statutory requirements, bank policies, and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance (e.g. RMiT, PayNet, BNM guidelines).
- Be available for weekend support if necessary (on a need basis), depending on project duration.
- Perform other functions as assigned by the management.
Requirements
Degree holder or above with major in Information Technology, Computing, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Science in Information Technology, Mathematics, or related disciplines.Minimum 5 years of working experience (preferably with familiarity in network / system administration).Exposure in PayNet, BNM-related systems, or financial institution environments will be an added advantage.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Great teamwork and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Good command of both spoken and written English; Mandarin will be preferred.We are inviting qualified candidates to join us as :
