JOB OVERVIEW :

We are expanding our group legal function with a key regional role. As Asia continues to play a pivotal role in Howden’s strategic growth, we are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our regional legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel, Asia.

In this role, you will act as a trusted legal advisor to the Asia business, providing advice on complex, multi‑jurisdictional matters and working closely with senior stakeholders across the region, supporting Howden’s ambitious growth plans.

This role combines day‑to‑day legal responsibilities with involvement in high‑impact projects, including M&A, new business initiatives, litigation, and employment matters.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Contract Review & Negotiation

• Review, draft, negotiate, and amend a wide range of contracts and agreements across multiple jurisdictions (service agreements, broking documents, TOBAs, NDAs, SLAs, distribution agreements, referral agreements, etc.).
• Draft and review transactional documents with clients, vendors, insurers, affiliates, and other third parties, including reviewing third‑party changes to Howden templates.
• Liaise and coordinate with the business stakeholders during the contract review process.
• Finalize negotiated contracts and manage execution of legal documentation.
