Job Title : Senior Lead System Analyst

Contract Duration : CONTRACT

Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (onsite)

Experience Level : 9 years

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead System Analyst (SA) to join our Digital Banking System Analyst Chapter . This role is critical in driving the solution design, impact analysis, and system documentation efforts across key banking platforms. The ideal candidate brings robust technical knowledge in Java and Spring Boot, coupled with a strong background in digital banking and enterprise-level systems integration.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead solution design and technical impact analysis for complex digital banking systems.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into detailed system design specifications .
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and successful delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including :

Use cases

  • Process flows
  • Data mappings
  • Interface contracts
  • Conduct and facilitate requirement analysis sessions and gap assessments .
  • Perform feasibility studies and contribute to effort estimation for new initiatives and change requests.
  • Review technical designs and code for compliance with solution architecture, performance, and security standards.
  • Support both Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall delivery models depending on project requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior system analysts within the chapter, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.

    • Mandatory Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum 9+ years of experience in system analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Java and Spring Boot in the context of system analysis and design.
  • Proven experience with Oracle databases and working knowledge of Unix / Linux / Solaris environments.
  • Deep expertise in :

    • Solution architecture

  • Technical impact analysis
  • Documentation and specification writing
  • Solid understanding of data flows , system interfaces , and enterprise-level integration .

    • Good-to-Have Technical Skills :

  • Languages / Frameworks : J2EE, JavaScript, CSS, XML, SQL
  • Scripting : Unix Shell Scripting
  • Methodologies : Familiarity with both Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall practices
  • Domain Knowledge : Experience with digital banking systems or financial platforms is a strong plus

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and influence design decisions
  • Team player with a mentoring mindset

    • Education & Experience :

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
