Job description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the full set of accounts .
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing costing records including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Lead and coordinate stock take exercises; reconcile and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS and company policies.
  • Monitor and analyse budgeting, forecasting, and variance reports to support production and management decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory submissions.
  • Strengthen internal controls, streamline accounting processes, and ensure audit readiness.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, suppliers, and government agencies.
  • Supervise and guide the accounts team; ensure timely month-end closing and reporting.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIA membership preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge in manufacturing costing, stock take, and inventory management.
  • Hands-on experience in full set of accounts and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (AutoCount preferred, or equivalent ERP systems).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills in Mandarin, English and Malay.
