Overview

We are seeking an Assistant IT Finance Manager to join our IT Finance and Vendor Management team, based in Malaysia, that is detail-oriented and has a strong sense of financial control and risk management. Reporting to the IT Finance Lead / Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the management and oversight for financial planning, budgeting, reporting and control related to IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports relating to IT expenses for project managers and senior management
  • Work with project managers to budget and forecast IT costs for ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Track purchase orders, vendor invoices, and ensure timely payments related to IT project expenditures
  • Collaborate with project managers to gather financial data, review budget draw-down requests and support cost analysis and cost-savings initiatives
  • Identify and report any variances or discrepancies in IT project expenses to management promptly
  • Support procurement and contract management processes related to IT resources and services
  • Assist in financial audits and compliance processes associated with IT project spending
  • Maintain proper documentation and financial records for IT-related expenses and project budgets
  • Support the IT Finance Manager / Lead and project managers in various financial tasks relevant to IT projects e.g. reconciliation for closed projects, internal charging for asset utilisation and cost allocation

We are looking for people who

  • Possesses Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance management within insurance of financial services, with a focus on IT finance and / or cloud financial management preferred
  • Strong understanding of IT cost structures, software licensing, and project financial management
  • Proficient in financial systems such as Oracle Fusion, as well as Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong team player with attention to detail, resilience under pressure and an adaptable and resourceful mindset.
