Job Summary
The Complex Executive Assistant Manager functions as the strategic business leader of property operations and acts as General Manager in their absence. This role oversees all operational areas, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering / Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Event Management, Retail, Security, and Recreation / Fitness, ensuring the property meets brand standards, guest expectations, employee satisfaction, and financial objectives. The position develops and implements operational strategies that align with the brand vision and drives profitability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Profitability
Oversees property operations to ensure guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial performance.
Develops operational strategies aligned with the brand and property goals.
Reviews financial reports, manages departmental budgets, and ensures proper use of capital expenditure funds.
Identifies operational challenges, implements solutions, and maintains profit margins without compromising service quality.
Makes key operational decisions to maintain property performance and achieve strategic objectives.
Managing Property Operations
Ensures brand and regional initiatives are implemented across all departments.
Tours property regularly to engage with employees and guests, assess operational opportunities, and address issues.
Strives for continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency.
Leads Executive Committee members and department heads, ensuring alignment and accountability.
Hires, coaches, and develops management teams to deliver strong functional expertise and operational excellence.
Conducts performance appraisals, fosters employee commitment, and encourages a culture of open communication and feedback.
Supports talent development and succession planning across operational teams.

Adaptability, professional demeanor, problem solving, decision making, and effective communication.

Planning, organizing, driving for results, and team building.
Relationship Building
Customer and coworker relationship management, inclusion, and collaboration.
Business & Technical Acumen
Operational knowledge across all departments, financial and capital management, applied business knowledge, detail orientation, owner service, and leveraging business data to drive results.
Basic Competencies
Computer literacy, mathematical reasoning, oral and written comprehension, and effective communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience
2-year degree + 8 years’ experience OR 4-year degree + 6 years’ experience in hotel operations, sales & marketing, or related professional area.
Proven leadership experience in managing multi-department hotel operations.
Strong financial, strategic, and operational acumen with a focus on guest satisfaction and employee engagement.
