Job Purpose

The Bid & Design Intern will collaborate with sales and project teams to support design and specification efforts that showcase Haworth's contributions to clients' organizations and evolving workspaces. This role involves assisting with drawings, specifications, and presentation materials, while gaining practical experience in furniture products, technical design skills, time management, and professional workplace dynamics.

A glimpse of your daily mission

  • Support on layout counting to ensure the layout furniture qty tally with the client's BQ.
  • Assist on the layout test-fit to fit Haworth products into client spaces using AutoCAD.
  • Assist to prepare finishes sign-off document based on shortlisted products from the proposal and prepare Operational Maintenance Manual in standard template using PowerPoint.
  • Assist on typical drawing to show some technical detailing on Haworth products.
  • Collaborate with other team members and supervisor to provide better product solution / offering based on client requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a diploma, degree, or equivalent program in a related field (e.g., Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, etc.).
  • Able to understand product specifications and pricing calculations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office software, and Adobe Apps.
  • Basic understanding on the system furniture product application is a plus.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a good eye for numbers.
  • Self-motivated, very organized, have a good communication and time management skills.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player.
