Job Overview
The Senior Flow Assurance Engineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Flow Assurance (Eng) discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Flow Assurance (Eng) discipline. The Senior Flow Assurance Engineer solves complex problems and uses discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Flow Assurance Engineer impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Flow Assurance (Eng) team and other related teams and ensures they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Master’s Degree and above is Preferred)
- 8-15 years of experience in Oil and Gas with a major contractor or consultant predominantly performing pre-FEED, FEED, and detail design on Flow Assurance
- CFD experience a plus
- Solid knowledge and rich experience in reservoir fluid characteristics analysis and related tools like Multiflash and PVTsim
- Experience with Flow Assurance issues and their mitigation strategies
- Strong experience in oil and gas production systems (offshore / subsea and onshore) and oil / gas transmission systems, and their modeling and simulations
- Strong experience in Flow Assurance engineering software including fluid characteristic analysis software and flow assurance simulation software, single phase and multiphase and their applications; the following are the minimum :
