Portfolio Manager (Equity)
We are looking for a Portfolio Manager responsible for the management of discretionary portfolio mandates (DPM) including discretionary fund portfolios (DFP) and Malaysian and global equity mandates. The role requires at least 10 years of experience in portfolio management, strong analytical / problem solving skills and a good understanding of investment strategies and investment / portfolio risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing client portfolios / funds under the guidance of strategic views from the CIO Office and investment procedures.
- Evaluating the risks and opportunities of investment portfolios, including monitoring holdings to help identify buy / sell candidates based on relative value comparison.
- Tracking and monitoring daily spreads / prices for all portfolio / fund positions.
- Understanding clients’ needs and crafting solutions according to clients’ risk appetite and preferences, through different asset classes including fixed income and equities.
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis on investment opportunities and preparing investment reports for decision-making purposes.
- Familiarity with ESG strategies and ESG process integration in investment management processes.
- Performing relative value analysis of potential investments versus alternative investment options both within and across asset classes.
- Conducting client consultation and portfolio performance review processes.
- Writing commentary and providing market updates for internal and external clients.
- Assisting fellow Portfolio Managers with reporting and other duties as necessary to meet client requirements.
- Providing administrative and system support in relation to the investment process as and when required.
- Collaborating with the Portfolio Product Management team and / or external service providers in product development and product range expansion.
Work Requirements
At least 10 years of experience in fund / portfolio management with preference for a track record in Malaysian fixed income / fund of funds investments.Strong understanding in financial projections and asset valuations.Familiarity with portfolio management tools an advantage.A strong risk mindset to ensure adherence to the Company’s, Group’s and Regulators’ requirements.Self‑motivation, strong time‑management skills, ability to work effectively under pressure.Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, investment or a related field.CFA qualification is appreciated.Primary Location
