General Manager (EMS Industry)

Overview About the role : As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations and strategic direction of the company, ensuring its continued success in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry. This is a full-time, office-based role located in Penang.

What you'll be doing

Providing strong leadership and direction to the management team and employees to achieve the company's goals and objectives

Developing and implementing effective business strategies and plans to drive growth, improve efficiency, and enhance profitability

Overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, including production, supply chain, quality control, and customer relations

Identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities, as well as monitoring industry trends and competitors

Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies

Fostering a positive and collaborative work culture to attract, retain, and motivate a talented workforce

Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

Reporting to the board of directors and providing regular updates on the company's performance and strategic initiatives

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (10+ years) as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role within the EMS industry

Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a manufacturing business, with a strong understanding of operations, finance, and strategic planning

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing market conditions

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders

Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with a postgraduate qualification or professional certification being an advantage
