Job Title : Sales Engineer (SE)

Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (remote, travel 50-60% within Greater Asia)

Absolute Security is seeking a highly technical Sales Engineer to support pre‑sales activities for our fast‑growing Greater Asia business. The SE will partner with Account Executives (AE) and Channel Account Managers (CAM) to drive revenue growth, provide product expertise, and conduct technical demonstrations.

The role focuses on discovery and validation stages of the sales process, acting as a technical evangelist for the company at events and in client engagements.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with AE and CAM to develop and execute sales strategy in your territory and key partner accounts.
  • Deliver tailored technical sales presentations and demos to prospective customers and partners.
  • Plan and execute PoV activities, including scoping, success criteria, environment design, configuration, and technical support.
  • Communicate product feedback and feature requests to product management with data from sales engagements.
  • Document sales cycles and PoVs in Salesforce.com.
  • Collaborate with technical peers within channel partners to uncover new opportunities.
  • Ensure the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience with complex technical sales cycles, deep discovery, scoping, and Proof‑of‑Value presentations.
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Understanding of data‑in‑transit security (TLS, IPsec, VPNs, PKI, certificate management).
  • Knowledge of network services, routing, and local and wide area network design.
  • Familiarity with firewall vendors and basic rule design.
  • Understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, RADIUS).
  • Experience with endpoint or network security tools (AV, EDR, Incident Response, Forensics).
  • Strong grasp of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network environments.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin a plus.
  • Nice‑to‑have Skills

  • Experience with MEDDPICC or similar selling methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SASE, SSE, VPN, EDR, Incident Response.
  • Programming / scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Cloud IaaS networking and security experience.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, etc.).
  • IT or Security operations background.
  • Fluent in Malay or Cantonese.
