Position Overview :

Sea Hawk Global Lines Sdn Bhd, a fast-growing integrated logistics provider based in Port Klang, is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead and oversee the full spectrum of the company's financial operations. This pivotal role will focus on strengthening financial controls, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring the integrity of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), financial reporting, and compliance processes across the logistics value chain.

This position demands a results-driven leader with solid financial acumen, hands-on experience in AR / AP management, and the ability to support business growth through accurate financial analysis, effective cost control, and collaborative leadership.

Key Responsibilities : Financial Leadership & Strategy :

  • Lead and manage the finance team to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient execution of financial operations, with strong emphasis on AR and AP functions.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making, profitability analysis, and long-term planning aligned with the company's growth in logistics, shipping, and warehousing.
  • Serve as a financial business partner to department heads, providing guidance on cost control, pricing strategies, and operational budgeting.

Accounts Receivable (AR) Management :

  • Oversee the end-to-end AR function including customer credit control, invoicing, collections, and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and implement collection strategies to reduce overdue receivables and improve cash flow.
  • Monitor customer payment behavior and recommend credit limit reviews and risk mitigation actions.
  • Accounts Payable (AP) Oversight :

  • Manage the full AP cycle including vendor invoice processing, payment scheduling, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely payments to suppliers while optimizing cash disbursement strategies.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and manage terms negotiations in coordination with procurement and operations.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis :

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with FRS and internal reporting standards.
  • Analyze financial performance, cost structures, and working capital trends across different logistics segments.
  • Deliver detailed AR / AP aging analysis, cash flow forecasts, and operational finance KPIs to leadership.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control :

  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
  • Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions to keep operations financially on track.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across departments, particularly in logistics and warehousing operations.
  • Compliance & Risk Management :

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (e.g., SST), statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulators for audits and reporting submissions.
  • Implement and enforce internal financial controls and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Team Development & Process Improvement :

  • Mentor and develop junior finance staff to build a high-performing finance team.
  • Identify and drive process improvements in AR / AP automation, reporting efficiency, and financial system enhancements.
  • Support system migration or ERP implementation projects as needed.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration :

  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and senior management to align financial practices with business objectives.
  • Serve as a key liaison to banks, auditors, tax agents, and external consultants.
  • Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Minimum 6–8 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in AR / AP management, financial reporting, and cash flow control.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles (FRS / GAAP), Malaysian tax regulations, and audit practices.
  • Hands-on experience in the logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in accounting software / ERP systems and advanced Excel for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
