Senior Expeditor

Overview

Senior Expeditor role at MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) / Offshore Frontier Solutions. We are currently based at KL Eco City, Malaysia. This is a challenging career opportunity with exposure to deep-water production systems and global mobility within the MODEC group.

Responsibilities

• Coordination with suppliers : Effectively communicate & coordinate between suppliers and internal stakeholders by facilitating the flow of information, resolving issues or conflicts, and ensuring that both parties are aligned on expectations and requirements. Expeditors maintain regular contact with suppliers, provide updates on orders, address queries, and foster strong relationships. Ensure that documentation requirements (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Production and / or Fabrication schedules, Bills of Materials, documents and drawings) specified in the PO are delivered within schedule.
• Development of expediting plan : Develop or modify an expediting plan for the assigned project(s), based on criticality ratings of equipment in relation to the project schedule by identifying critical paths, setting milestones, and establishing deadlines for each phase of the package equipment progress.
• Monitoring of supplier delivery : Identify critical milestones in the supplier’s supply chain (engineering, order placement, production, shipping, delivery) and monitor them to ensure adherence to the schedule; address delays or issues promptly with the supplier.
• Review Inspection Reports : Review inspection reports to confirm compliance with project specifications and identify non-conformities to be resolved with relevant stakeholders.
• Expediting reporting : Maintain accurate records of vendor activities in expediting reports, recording engineering, procurement, fabrication, production and delivery status, and distribute reports to the Project Team regularly for transparency and accountability.
• Liaise with internal departments : Coordinate with Logistics to provide advance notice of shipments and trace major shipments; resolve commercial, technical, or quality problems with Purchasing, Engineering, and QA / QC as needed.
• Management of Procurement Files : Update systems with delivery status updates; maintain procurement files in conformance with SOPs, DWIs and Quality System requirements.
• Purchase Order closeout : Assist buyers with PO closeout and conduct periodic supplier evaluations based on established metrics to identify improvement areas and inform sourcing decisions for future contracts.
