To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Operations Manager located in Prai, Penang.

Typical Day

  • Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.
  • Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI.
  • Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
  • Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence.
  • Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
  • Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
  • Report to Senior Management team in weekly operations reviews.
  • Coach and mentor Operations team.
  • Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with at least 9 years of operations experience including management.
  • Knowledge and experience in Medical Devices manufacturing and ISO13485 certification (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Strong financial management capabilities, including budgeting, cost control, and delivering P&L commitments.
  • Deep understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes and quality control practices.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating cross‑functional teams within a matrix organization, with the ability to handle conflict resolution effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels—from shop floor to senior management.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on process enhancement, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
