Overview

QC Inspector role at CS Yap Engineering Sdn Bhd.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on products and materials.
  • Conduct tests using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure specifications are met.
  • Verify compliance with standards, specifications, and drawings.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare detailed reports on findings.
  • Document non-conformances and communicate with relevant departments for corrective actions.
  • Quality Control Processes : Identify quality issues and recommend improvements to reduce defects.
  • Support the implementation of quality control procedures and ensure adherence.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and follow-up on corrective / preventive actions.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to address quality concerns.
  • Provide feedback and support training sessions to enhance quality awareness among staff.
  • Compliance : Ensure all inspections comply with company policies, ISO standards, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor workplace and product safety to align with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Education : Minimum SPM / O-Level or equivalent. A diploma in a technical field is preferred.
  • Experience : At least 1 year of experience in quality control or a related field.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 is an advantage.
  • Skills : Strong attention to detail and analytical skills; Proficiency in using inspection tools and software; Good communication and reporting skills; Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
