WELLS ENGINEER (Hydraulic Workover Unit) / Drilling Engineer / Specialist Level 3

MAIN FUNCTIONS

Provide the engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up required for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs.

Ensure well objectives are met while assuring the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection are applied.

Provide technical expertise on drilling engineering to the Operations and Development teams.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide engineering support for Hydraulic Workover Unit (HWU) start-up, mobilization / demobilization and operations including budget preparation / stewardship and contract administration.
• Maintain daily surveillance of HWU mobilization / demobilization, workover, completions and P&A operations including stewardship of well costs.
• Provide well-site HWU operations surveillance and engineering support as necessary.
• Assist Operations Superintendent on critical activities and problems, such as equipment failures, well problems and well control.
• Work with Reservoir Engineer and Geologist to support preparation and deliverables of workover, completions and P&A plans.
• Responsible for government regulatory requirements, approvals and permits.
