Group Compliance Policy and Procedure Management
- Establish, streamline and maintain Group Compliance policies to promote standard and robust compliance practices.
- Coordinate and review with respective units within Group Compliance for changes and updates in the Core Group Compliance policies and procedures.
- Maintain a register of Group Compliance policies to ensure timely review and update by respective units within Group Compliance.
- Establish and maintain a register of Group Compliance related certification (e.g. PDPA certification).
Group Compliance Reporting
Consolidate and review Compliance Reporting to Senior Management and Board for ABMB, AIS and AIBB. Continuously engage with respective units within Group Compliance to improve on compliance reporting information.Collaborate with respective units within Group Compliance to review and provide feedback on submission of papers to Senior Management and Boards.Assist the GCCO to keep Senior Management and Boards abreast on results of compliance risks assessment, changes in compliance risk profile, matters relating to non‑compliance and the impact to the Bank.Regulatory and Audit Issues Management
Coordinate with respective stakeholders for responses relating to regulatory and audit issues.Consolidate and prepare BNM CRR and GIA related responses for submission to Senior Management and Boards.Training and Awareness
Develop and implement compliance awareness programs to promote a strong compliance culture and ensure adequate training is provided to Bank’s staff on relevant regulatory requirements.Collaborate with respective units within Group Compliance for input, support and participation on compliance awareness initiatives and training.Compliance Resource and Support Management
Assist the GCCO to ensure Compliance Officers have the necessary qualifications, possess relevant knowledge and expertise.Assist the GCCO to review and obtain input from respective units within Group Compliance on resource requirement and management.Anti‑Bribery & Corruption (AB&C)
Review the Monthly, Quarterly, Semi‑annual & Annual AB&C‑KRI items for Compliance Reporting.Review the AB&C Risk Assessment Ratings / Results for annual reporting.Review the AB&C e‑Learning module and conduct training for staff, as and when required.Assist to review and complete AB&C‑related questionnaires from regulators as and when received.Advise on AB&C matters as and when required.Supervisory Roles
Review tasks completed by subordinates for completeness and alignment to overall strategy and compliance framework.Provide guidance, supervision and motivation to team members to enable them to carry out their duties effectively on all functions / activities.Oversight on GC Risk & Compliance Officer role.Requirements
Qualification
A Professional qualification or a university degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Accounting / Commerce / Finance or Law or related discipline with at least 5 years of post‑qualification experience in financial institutions, preferably with experience in risk and compliance. Relevant Compliance‑related Certifications from the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) is an added advantage.

At least 7 years of working experience in compliance, internal audit or risk and control management function in a financial institution.Strong background in compliance, risk management or internal audit function is an added advantage.Experience in banking operations or product knowledge is an added advantage.Seniority Level
