Description
The New Employee Excellence Training (NEET) Program for Software Developers provided by FRG is the first step in preparing individuals for a career developing new solutions to solve business requirements in the Financial Risk Industry. This program is structured so that each participant will gain :
- The necessary business domain knowledge to be successful in this role.
- Experience developing software using languages and frameworks such as Go, Python, Django, and Angular.
- Exposure to architecting cloud solutions to solve real-world challenges.
- A minimum of one cloud technology certification.
At the completion of the NEET program, the successful employee will be well-equipped to make significant contributions to the development of FRG's product offerings.
The Work
The successful candidate will perform the following duties day-to-day :
Learn to write complex and original software code in support of FRG’s VOR product offeringsWork in a peer review environment, where code review happens on every mergeParticipate in aspects of product development and rollout including design, development, debugging, implementation, documentation, and supportBe responsible for provisioning cloud infrastructure in support of FRG's product offeringsContribute to improving the developer experience by assisting with improving existing CI / CD flowsLearn and assist in developing specification, program, and documentation standardsEmbrace challenges and learn new skills; be a catalyst for changeLearn and assist maintaining functional operation of assigned production systemsLearn about developing prototype and demonstration systemsPerform other tasks as assignedOur stack (note that we will train you on any of these —you don't need prior experience in all of these) :
Golang, Python, Django, SAS, and PostgresAngular and TypeScriptConsul and VaultAWS, Docker, and TerraformAutomated CI / CD using GitHub Actions with staging and production environmentsCompany-paid training and certification bonusesCompany medical plan (renewed annually)Bonus program, dependent on level12 days annual paid vacation while training in the NEET program, and 15 days annual paid vacation upon graduation14 paid sick leave days per yearRequirements
Must have :
A First Class or Second Upper Bachelor’s Degree in the areas of Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, Computational Finance, Engineering, Sciences, or FinanceAbility to work alone and as part of a teamNo experience with our technologies required as training will be providedNice to have :
Exposure to data structures and designExposure to financial modelling techniquesExposure to Unix / Linux OSExperience with one or more languages from our technology stackStrong written and oral communication skillsExcellent problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
