Senior Executive, Social Media Management

Overview

WPP Media is the global media collective of WPP. This role focuses on social media management, client relationships, and content strategy within WPP Media.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and maintain good business relationships with clients and potential clients across GOAT - WPP Media.
  • Assist the Account Lead on assigned businesses, provide strategic inputs to clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day jobs and campaigns : brief the team, communicate with clients, manage timelines, budgets, coordination, community management, content management and reporting.
  • Understand client needs through daily liaison and collaboration with clients.
  • Work closely with the Content and Insights & Analytics teams, attend briefings and strategy sessions, and help build meaningful and relevant content.
  • Use social tools effectively to generate insightful reports and social audits.
  • Analyze, strategize, ideate and execute.
  • Administrative tasks – quotations, registration forms, financial processes (ensure quotations are signed and submitted to Finance, follow up on POs and invoices with clients and / or vendors).

Qualifications

  • Natural ability to work with internal and external stakeholders such as your support team in content creation, social listening, internal & external agencies, external media owners, clients, etc.
  • Prefer 1–2 years of experience in a social media agency or creative agency.
  • Deep knowledge of primary social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X) and emerging technologies and their benefits to brands and businesses.
  • Curiosity and willingness to explore the ins and outs of social media platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Driven, self-motivated, independent, dependable and passionate.
  • Willing to work beyond normal working hours when required and / or responding to client requests or crises.
  • Excellent proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
