As a Quality Management Office (QMO) Auditor at Micron Technology you will play a crucial role in preparing, supporting, and conducting internal audits, as well as hosting or supporting external quality audits (customer and certification). You will collaborate with various Micron departments and leaders to develop schedules, review documents and procedures, collect and evaluate quality-related information, and summarize and report findings.

Other duties include the contribution to maintain Micron quality system, to interpret ISO and IATF requirements, to participate in improvement projects, and other supporting activities to resolve non-conformances. Your Responsibilities and Tasks

Plan Audit, Objectives and Schedule

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of Internal Audit Schedule (System, Process, and Product Audits), customer and certification audit schedule
  • Gather information from production, service, development and supporting activities and perform assessment to identify risk areas to be focused during the audit
  • Analyze department quality systems and previous audit information from multiple sources
  • Lead Auditor : assist with audit team selection and audit plan preparation for internal audits
  • Represent the audit team with management of the audited area, with customers and certification body

Conduct Quality Audits and Host External Audits

  • Perform internal quality audits, including system, process, and product audits, as well as any special audits as needed by the organization. Identify valuable non-conformities, strengths, and areas that can be improved.
  • Lead or support special audits required by management upon need
  • Coordinate audit schedule
  • Help in preparation, including the line tour and dry run when needed
  • Participate to audit on site
  • Analyze findings and summarize them for presentation or report with the final objective to enable organization to improve processes
  • Facilitate closing meeting to review and interpret results with management
  • Follow up on audits to ensure that solutions / actions are implemented to fulfill the requirements and avoid recurrence
  • Assist, when needed, for determination of action plan to address non-conformities
  • Be the auditee for Manage Quality Audit process
  • Support Improvement of the Quality Management System

  • Evaluate and share standard methodologies.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Maintain Knowledge and Awareness of auditor skills and competences

    Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical or Engineering with 3 - 5 years experience in Auditing / Quality Control / QMS with semiconductor industry
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 : 2015 and IATF16949 : 2016
  • Familiarity with VDA (version 2016), Automotive Spice, and Automotive Core Tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP).
  • Experience in internal, customer and certification audits
  • Automotive process approach for auditing including risk-based thinking
  • Understanding of applicable customer specific requirements
  • Technical understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and product requirements
  • Ability to work under tight timeframes and prioritize significant activities
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership skills, outstanding interpersonal and collaboration
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. ability to collaborate within team and with cross-functional teams to understand needs and translate them into actionable plans, results, and resource requirements
  • Good multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimum supervision
  • Travel may require as needed (Domestic and International)
