Job Summary
Support the Product Owner & team with the activities required for reducing data risk and sustaining a low‑risk environment across the “Data Conduct” risk type and corresponding sub‑risk types such as Data Quality, Data Sovereignty, Privacy, Record Keeping, and Responsible AI for the CIB business. The role will initially focus on Record Keeping for Markets.
Responsibilities
- Successful and timely delivery of the associated Risk Treatment Plan (RTP).
- Implementation of the Standards in Business As Usual (BAU).
- Execution and maintenance of the controls / frameworks required for compliance with the Standards, regulations and sustenance of the low‑risk environment.
- Supporting Record Keeping systems operation, controls, regulatory traceability matrices, record cataloguing, record retrievals and related actions – including support for regulator exams on record keeping and responses to external parties such as third‑party venues.
- Collaboration with Central Data Office (CDO) and Data Shield Programme (DSP) to roll out centralised enablers that aid risk reduction and / or Standards implementation.
- Develop a deep understanding of the current state of data, processes, and systems for CIB.
- Support the completion of key milestones in accordance with the data risk objectives, including delivery of the Risk Treatment Plan, completion of required remediations and implementation of relevant Standards.
- Perform the Data Discovery exercise for the relevant Data standards and complete mandatory artefacts (Data Discovery Templates, Data Flowchart, Data Inventory, etc.).
- Conduct gap analysis of current state against the requirements in the Data Standard.
- Coordinate reviews and sign‑off with relevant stakeholders such as Group Process Owner (GPO), Country Process Owner, Risk Framework Owner (RFO), Operational Risk (OR) and more.
- Carry out Business Impact Assessments on the business and process from the tools / enablers that the Central CDO team delivers to CIB.
- Design Target Operating Models to conform to Data Standards, identify business solutions to meet the requirements in complex process and technology environments, validate impact assessment & drive implementation plan.
- Support and / or execute change management activities including development of training materials, operational guidance, etc.
- Effectively engage working‑level business stakeholders across geographies – strong communication skills and ability to tailor complex content to stakeholder audiences.
- Build strong and effective relationships with programme and business counterparts.
- Work effectively with other members within or outside of the team to ensure deliverables are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
- Scope is limited to CIB processes, but primarily to Banking, Coverage and Markets (including FSS).
- Support usage and training of data‑related enablers and systems.
- Assess existing systems and controls for compliance and ability to meet the relevant data regulations.
- Work in an Enterprise agile environment to define and deliver business value.
- Lead squads to deliver business requirements, functional design, journey design, configuration, testing, training and implementation of the relevant changes / systems.
- Propose and / or set up Key Performance Indicators / Metrics (KPIs / KPMs), including metrics for the various risk types.
- Support the design and implementation of mechanisms to facilitate early identification and prompt resolution of risks, including escalating these risks to the required forums for support.
- Support the design of the Target Operating Model, Business Impact Assessment and implementation of the tools / enablers that the centralised / group CDO / COO team delivers to CIB.
- Perform feasibility and options analysis for implementing all the standards across all stages of planning and execution.
- Validate deliveries through success metrics, after deployment to ensure they meet all operational and business requirements and drive maintenance and problem resolution, as required.
- Master and gain in‑depth understanding of the Data Conduct standards to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of Data Privacy, Data Book of Work (BOW) for CIB.
- Facilitate the simplification and / or operationalisation of the Group standards and accompanying Country Addenda / Schedules (when applicable) for CIB.
- Work closely with the CIB Product Owner(s) and the broader data team to drive reduction of the data risks and monitor all major risk issues and concentrations. Where appropriate, perform the upward escalations of key risks, issues and / or challenges encountered.

Experience working in or consulting for Financial Institutions is critical.Knowledge of Corporate & Institutional Banking, particularly Markets is preferred.Experience with understanding and mapping a complex business process to determine how specific regulatory obligations & policy requirements impact a process and the respective controls / elements in those processes.Experience with designing solutions to meet policy and regulatory requirements for existing processes, in collaboration with technology.Able to prioritise work, manage stress, time, and change effectively.Prior experience working in Agile Scrum team will be advantageous.Technical knowledge of data laws and regulations such as United Kingdom / European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), United Kingdom Money Laundering Regulation, SEC, CFTC and MIFID.Experience working with business, operations, compliance and technology stakeholders across varying levels of seniority.Good problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and work with minimal management oversight.Strong communication skills — oral, written and presentation.High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify areas of focus for solution design and implementation.Ability to create effective work relationships across functions & borders.Good presentation, time management, negotiation and influencing skill.Any other relevant project management certifications.Experience with Record Keeping regulations, systems and retrieving data for exams and audits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
