About the role
As the Senior Accountant at IRDK Land Sendirian Berhad, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial operations and reporting. This is a full-time position based in our office in Shah Alam, Selangor. You will be responsible for managing the company's accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organisation's growth.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to senior management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, and liaise with external auditors
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial processes to safeguard the company's assets
- Provide financial data and analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Monitor hotel daily transactions and full set of accounts for hotel operations.
What we're looking for
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProfessional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or CPA)Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in the real estate, construction industry or FMCG, Development & Hotel account.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendationsStrong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control processesProficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applicationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsCommitted to continuous learning and professional developmentWhat we offer
