Job description

Overview

We are exclusively partnering with a reputable regional private equity firm to appoint a Vice President, Finance .

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including quarterly and annual reports, fund performance and returns to management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial data to support strategic decision-making and investor communications.
  • Finance Operations Oversight : Review and approve fund transfers, capital calls and distributions. Assist with securing financing for the fund’s investments, optimizing capital allocation to support investment activities.
  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements. Coordinate external audits for the fund and its investment entities. Oversees the preparation and filling of tax returns for the fund and its investment entities. Oversees any other compliance related matters such as FATCA, CRS, AMLA reporting etc.
  • Investor Relations : Provide accurate and timely financial information to investors and responding to ad-hoc inquiries. Assist in the preparation of investor communications, including performance updates, AGM and Advisory Board meetings.
  • Technology and Process Enhancement : Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation for improved financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. Implement and oversee financial systems and tools to streamline workflows.

Role Requirements

  • Strong understanding of accounting, financial markets, investment analysis, and valuation methodologies.
  • Proven experience in financial strategy development, capital management, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with proficiency in financial modelling, analysis tools, and accounting software.
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge within the private equity industry.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in finance / accounting and audit roles, with a substantial portion in private equity or investment management.
