Job Description

As Country Manager , you will report to the Sales Director and be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, while leading VT Markets' expansion across Hong Kong and Macau markets . This strategic leadership role within our Business Development department positions you as the key driver of regional business growth, responsible for managing local operations and building high‑performing teams. You will play a critical role in establishing VT Markets as a dominant presence in these key financial markets, working closely with global Marketing, Product, Compliance, and Customer Support teams to deliver exceptional client experiences and achieve ambitious growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of Hong Kong and Macau business operations, including sales performance, market expansion, and strategic planning.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies to establish and expand VT Markets' presence in local markets.
  • Lead the acquisition and management of Introducing Brokers (IBs), institutional clients, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build, recruit, coach, and mentor high‑performing local teams to achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Establish strong local brand presence through strategic partnerships, industry events, and marketing collaborations.
  • Analyze local market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify business risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with global teams including Marketing, Product, Compliance, and Customer Support to deliver tailored client experiences.
  • Drive achievement of monthly and quarterly performance targets while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction standards.
  • Serve as the primary representative and spokesperson for VT Markets in Hong Kong and Macau markets.

Qualifications

  • Experience & Education : Minimum 5 years of proven experience in B2B Forex or CFD Sales / Account Management within the financial services industry. Previous leadership or country management experience, preferably in trading or financial services sector.
  • Domain Knowledge : Deep understanding of Hong Kong and Macau financial markets, including client segments and regulatory landscape.
  • Technical and Functional Skills : Strong business development and strategic planning capabilities with a track record of driving market expansion. Expertise in managing Introducing Brokers (IBs), institutional clients, and strategic partnerships. Proficiency in market analysis, competitor assessment, and identifying business opportunities in financial markets.
  • Soft Skills : Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent the company as spokesperson in local markets. Results‑driven mindset with ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast‑changing market conditions.
  • Other Requirements : Fluency in English and Cantonese / Mandarin (verbal and written) is essential. Willingness to travel frequently between KL base and Hong Kong / Macau markets for business development activities. Ability to work across multiple time zones to coordinate with global teams and serve regional clients.
