Vice President, Market Coverage – Islamic Business Banking
Responsibilities
- Alliance Islamic Bank (AIS) consumer financing strategy :
Collaboration with CEO, Group Chief Consumer Banking Officer and SVP, Strategy to develop CB strategy aligned with AIS CB business goals (financing and non-financing products).
Key propositions.Execution model and timelines.Key segment planning : Development of growth plans for AIS' key / niche retail and SME segments covering mortgage, personal financing, etc.; regular updating of key segment plans to support business goals.Marketing execution :Drive marketing activities for AIS' consumer products and wealth management offerings supporting overall goals and CB strategies.
Drive sales acquisition through campaign development.Prioritize and craft tactical responses to market developments to preserve key client relationships and enhance opportunities.Relationship Management :Nurture positive rapport with internal and external stakeholders through regular formal and informal engagements.
Provide continuous communication channels for stakeholders.Address stakeholder needs and requests promptly; resolve issues and provide feedback.Deliver consistent growth in client value year‑on‑year.Market intelligence :Stay aware of market developments relevant to CB business through own research, industry reports, and informal network liaisons.
Conduct market research and analysis on trends and competitors' consumer propositions.Business performance management :Monitor and provide transparent feedback on CB business performance to CEO and Board.
Ensure timely, accurate management reports.Conduct post‑campaign analysis and document key learning points.Continuously improve processes to enhance cost, efficiency, and customer delight.Campaign management :Collaborate with campaign management team to design and roll out CB campaigns for identified segments.
Provide leads and feedback on campaign and marketing communication opportunities.Subject Matter Expert Support :Provide helpline for internal and external customers.
Conduct training and roadshows to refresh product knowledge at channels.Maintain communication with sales teams, channels, back‑office system, and operations.Other duties : As assigned by supervisors.Job Requirements
Skills
CB solutioning and proposition crafting.CB portfolio analysis.Knowledge
Strong grasp of theory and application of Islamic financing structures in the market.BNM rules and regulations on Islamic financing.Experience
Minimum 10 years in banking industry, 5 years in sales role, and 2 years in leadership role.Experience marketing to senior government and corporate personnel.Seniority Level
