Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company's accounting, HR, administrative, and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a broad scope of responsibilities in a fast-paced startup environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting

  • Prepare and issue invoices, process payments, and manage cash flow.
  • Perform full set of accounts, including AP / AR reconciliation, budgeting, financial statements, and reporting.
  • Handle accounts for both active and dormant / holding companies.
  • Implement cash monitoring controls to prevent theft and unauthorized use.
  • Manage bank reconciliations and cash management activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures
  • Helping businesses make critical financial decisions
  • Assisting with tax reporting and filing
  • Providing strategic financial advice

Human Resources

  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations, including payroll, contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and recruitment.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory requirements
  • Support staff-related matters such as leave management, employment agreements, and statutory submissions.
  • Administration & Operations

  • Implement and streamline workflows and processes for a growing startup.
  • Provide administrative and personal assistant support to management when required
  • Handle ad-hoc government and regulatory submissions.
  • Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, and HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, PCB, EIS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in a startup environment is an added advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese (Mandarin is a must).
