Lead global sourcing and procurement of fatty alcohols and fatty acids, making real-time, market-driven buying decisions based on daily commodity index movements. Cover Chinese market purchasing activities, including spot buys and unplanned demand. Build strong supplier relationships across Asia while driving sustainability initiatives and proactively mitigating supply risks. Leverage market intelligence to optimize costs, lead tender processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance value and reduce Total Cost of Ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global sourcing and procurement of fatty alcohols and fatty acids, making real-time, market-driven buying decisions based on daily commodity index movements.
  • Cover Chinese market purchasing activities, including spot buys and unplanned demand.
  • Build strong supplier relationships across Asia while driving sustainability initiatives and proactively mitigating supply risks.
  • Leverage market intelligence to optimize costs, lead tender processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance value and reduce Total Cost of Ownership.

Qualifications

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years procurement experience, preferably in oleochemicals or chemical commodities
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin - essential for China supplier engagement and dealing with global stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to work in a fast-paced, market-driven environment
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in international sourcing and contract execution
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and analytical capabilities
