Key Responsibilities :
1. Quality Assurance (QA) :
- Implement and maintain the company's Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, and others.
- Prepare, review, and update documentation related to SOPs, product specifications, quality control, and QA records.
- Conduct internal quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints; prepare reports and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with Production, R&D, and other departments to ensure that all products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct training sessions on quality awareness for staff.
2. Halal Management :
Coordinate and prepare applications or renewal of Halal certification with relevant authorities (e.g., JAKIM).Ensure that all raw materials, suppliers, and production processes comply with Halal requirements.Lead and manage internal and external Halal audits; act as the company's Halal representative.Liaise with Halal certification bodies and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.Maintain and update Halal-related documentation including the Halal Technical File and Halal Assurance System (HAS).Provide training to staff on Halal awareness and practices.Job Requirements :
Minimum Qualification : Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Halal Industry Management, or related fields.Experience : At least 1–3 years working in Quality Assurance / Control and / or Halal Management.Skills :
Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and Halal certification processes.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Additional Certification (preferred) :
Halal Executive Certificate (from JAKIM / INHART / JAIN / recognized institutions).
HACCP, ISO 9001, or related quality system training.
