Outsourced – Accounting Assistant – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Full‑time , entry‑level role supporting the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and posting of journal entries
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations
- Support invoice processing and accounts payable workflows in Xero
- Provide assistance with cash flow management, including preparation of daily / weekly reports
- Contribute to month‑end close, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet schedules
- Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by the Senior Accountant
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in line with company policies
- Assist in ensuring compliance with Australian GST and tax obligations (BAS support, coding checks, GST accuracy on invoices)
- Provide backup support across the finance team as required
Skills & Experience
1–3 years’ experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or assistant accountant roleHands‑on experience with Xero (or similar accounting systems)Understanding of Australian GST and tax concepts preferred but not essentialProficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT competencyStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a small teamExperience with month‑end close and reconciliations across multiple entitiesExposure to cashflow reporting and analysisWe are an equal opportunity employer.
