Job descriptionCandidate must access Diploma / Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or equivalent. Candidate must have valid Green Book certification from DOSH. Minimum 5-10 years experience in construction is required. Strong knowledge of Malaysian safety laws, standards, and ISO 45001 requirements is needed. Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations is needed. Candidate must have good communication, leadership, training, and reporting skills. Candidate must possess the ability to coordinate safety activities across multiple contractors and stakeholders. Candidate should be physically fit and willing to work at construction sites, including high-risk areas. Must be able to work under pressure, handle emergencies, and make quick decisions Applicants must be able to work 6 days in a week.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce workplace safety compliance according to Malaysian regulations (DOSH, CIDB, DOE, etc.).
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
- Organize safety induction, toolbox meetings, and emergency drills for workers.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and safe work instructions.
- Investigate incidents / accidents and prepare reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper usage, availability, and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment.
- Liaise with authorities, contractors, and project teams on safety matters.
- Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
- Maintain safety records, documentation, and compliance reports for audits.
