Job description

Responsibilities

  • Be the Main Point of Contact : You are the central link between the client, architects, engineers, and the construction crew. You keep everyone informed and working together.
  • Plan the Schedule : Create a clear timeline for the entire project. Know what needs to happen first, next, and last to finish on time.
  • Manage the Budget : Track all costs for materials, labor, and equipment. Make sure the project doesn't spend more money than planned.
  • Hire and Manage Subcontractors : Find and hire the right specialists (like electricians, plumbers, etc.) and manage their work.
  • Order Materials : Ensure all the right materials and tools are on-site when they are needed to avoid delays.
  • Ensure Quality & Safety : Regularly inspect the work to make sure it meets quality standards and all safety rules are being followed to protect workers.
  • Solve Problems : When issues come up (like bad weather, delayed shipments, or unexpected problems), you find solutions quickly.
  • Handle Paperwork : Manage permits, contracts, daily reports, and change orders.

What We\'re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Experience : Several years of experience in construction, with a proven track record of managing projects from start to finish.
  • Knowledge : Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Leadership : Able to lead a team and get people to work together.
  • Communication : Excellent at talking and listening to clients, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Organization : Highly organized and able to manage many details at once.
  • Problem-Solving : A calm head under pressure who can think on their feet.

  • A bachelor\'s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Proficiency with computer software like Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project).
