We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Centre Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution and delivery of data centre construction and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will manage all phases of data centre projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Management : Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, to ensure successful delivery of data centre projects.
- Budget and Cost Control : Monitor project expenditures, manage budgets, and ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising quality.
- Quality Assurance : Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning processes to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Timeline Management : Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring adherence to schedules and timely completion.
- Reporting and Documentation : Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation of progress, issues and resolutions.
- Sustainability and Compliance : Ensure projects align with environmental sustainability goals and comply with local regulations, safety standards and data centre best practices.
- Team Leadership : Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in data centre construction, IT infrastructure or related fields.Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects on time and within budget.Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking and security systems.Familiarity with industry standards.Proficiency in project management tools.Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and flexibility to work outside standard hours during critical project phases.
