Responsibilities

Technology Assurance Review : conduct detailed technology governance and assurance reviews to ensure compliance with the bank’s policies, framework, standards, procedures, regulatory, legal and compliance requirements. participate in and contribute to the annual formation of the Technology Assurance Review Plan with UOB Group. produce high-quality technology assurance review reports for management oversight. apply data analytics skills to enhance and value-add technology assurance reviews.
Technology Governance Risk Reporting : review and assess source reporting information for accurate governance risk reporting; work closely with UOB Group and the second line of defence on governance risk reporting requirements; produce high-quality governance risk reports within the stipulated timeline for submission to UOB Group, the second line of defence, and regulators.
Technology Audit Management : act as liaison between Internal & External Auditors and Regulatory Bodies and IT Supporting Units to ensure audit queries are addressed in a timely manner; review and validate information requests provided by IT Supporting Units prior to submission to Auditors; review and provide feedback during Audit Observation and Audit Reporting stages; ensure effective management and tracking of audit issues with timely remediation.
Business As Usual Activities : review and provide feedback on updates arising from policies, framework, guidelines or concept papers from UOB Group and regulators; advise Business Units on requirements against Policies, Guidelines and Regulatory requirements; strategize IT process and operations reviews to assess effectiveness, highlight risks, gaps and improvement opportunities; ensure timely completion of mandatory e-learning within Technology Units; handle ad-hoc tasks from UOB Group and regulators.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.

Minimum 8–10 years of related experience; knowledge of Cyber Security and IT security is essential. Industry certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCSP) are a plus.

Highly results-oriented with ability to work independently.

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills across business and technology units.

Strong analytical, technical, written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in applying established techniques, procedures or standards.

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in IT Audit and Technology Governance Assurance Reviews.

Practical knowledge of security concepts, technologies, vulnerabilities, mitigation and remediation; familiarity with security standards and regulatory requirements such as BNM RMiT, MAS TRM, PCI-DSS, PayNet Guidelines on Cyber Resilience, Malaysia Cyber Security Act, PDPA; understanding of OS, database and network security, and SDLC.
