Overview

Are you a talented Interior Designer looking to join a dynamic and innovative design studio? Space Up Design Sdn. Bhd. , a leading interior design firm in Alor Setar, Kedah, is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of exciting commercial and residential projects, contributing to the overall design vision and strategy of the company.

What you'll be doing

Collaborating with clients to understand their design requirements and translating their vision into functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces
Generating creative design concepts and detailed plans, incorporating the latest trends and techniques in interior design
Selecting and sourcing suitable materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment to bring the designs to life
Coordinating with contractors, tradespeople and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of projects
Providing regular updates to clients and managing their expectations throughout the design and construction process
Staying up-to-date with industry developments and continuously enhancing your design skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar interior design role, preferably within the commercial and residential sectors

Strong design skills and the ability to translate concepts into detailed plans and technical drawings

Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, contractors and the design team

A creative, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work under tight deadlines

Knowledge of current interior design trends, materials, and construction methods
