Overview

The Assistant Finance Manager (Commercial Finance) will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and support to drive business decisions. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in accounting and finance who is seeking a business partnering role.

Responsibilities

Review and ensure accuracy of Management Accounts, financial results, monthly rolling forecasts, and annual budgets (MPLAN).
Manage year-end reporting including GFA packs and liaising with external auditors for timely and appropriate annual statutory reporting.
Monitor and control cash flows, purchase orders, capital expenditures, and payment approvals.
Provide strategic support to the Head of Business Unit on operational finance, including developing financial planning, strategy, and setting targets.
Advise Management on financial implications and risks arising from business activities.
Manage and ensure adherence to proper internal controls, finance processes, Group Finance policies, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Lead Finance transformation initiatives focused on accounting policies and improving financial processes for efficiency and added value.

Profile

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are advantageous.

Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Strong proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools.

Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
