Assistant Manager, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

Overview

This position shall work in relation to Safety, Health & Environmental matters, playing an important role in protecting both workers and the workplace and ensuring the organization is compliant with government requirements. This position is to work closely with All Operational PICs.

Job Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and activities to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Promote a safe and healthy workplace culture, ensuring adherence to statutory and customer requirements.
• Monitor and minimize accident rates, ensuring smooth and safe operations.
• Identify and manage workplace risks through HIRARC and mitigation programs.
• Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections, ensuring follow-up actions are implemented.
• Provide or coordinate SHE training for employees.
• Liaise with government bodies and authorities (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, etc.) on SHE compliance.
• Manage Scheduled Waste in line with Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005, including eSWIS / OER reporting.
• Support and maintain ISO 14001 : 2015 compliance in coordination with the QA department.
• Oversee environmental monitoring, including waste management, chemical analysis, and air quality requirements.
