Production Engineer / Executive

Overview

Position : Production Engineer / Executive

Report to : Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operations which ensure the most effective return on assets.
• Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
• Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while ensuring product standards that meet customers' expectations.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to Regulatory and Statutory Requirements.
• Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure the facility supports company strategic initiatives.
• Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, encouraging use of new techniques and fact-based problem solving.
• Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes.
• Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume.
• Work with HR Department to address employee grievances in a timely fashion.
• Establish management practices with positive involvement from all employees and opportunities for input and action.
• Maintain and ensure work safety and practice; continually improving safety records by addressing physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
• Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
• Maintain individual skills up to date with latest production and production management concepts.
• Develop and maintain effective communication link with the workforce and the management.
• Ensure a high level of discipline within the operation and take effective action in the event of deviations.
• Prepare, present and review operational performance and develop action plans for corrective, preventive and improvement.
• Ensure awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
• Perform any other ad-hoc projects or tasks assigned by Management from time to time.
