Senior Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager (Solar Energy Solutions)

We are seeking a strategic, performance-driven Sales Engineer to accelerate our business growth within Malaysia’s fast-evolving solar energy sector. This role combines technical expertise , strategic business acumen , and leadership excellence — ideal for a results-oriented professional who can bridge solar technology with commercial success.

The right candidate will be instrumental in driving large-scale solar project acquisitions, nurturing high-value partnerships, and contributing to Malaysia’s renewable energy transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close solar project opportunities to meet revenue targets.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales or project team.
  • Develop and execute market expansion and client acquisition strategies.
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Strengthen key client relationships and maintain strong post-sales engagement.
  • Track sales performance, pipeline progress, and market insights.
  • Stay current on solar trends, ESG initiatives, and government energy policies.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical, or related technical fields preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, engineering solution or related technical B2B sales.
  • Experience in Construction / Building / Engineering / Environmental / Waste Management / Manufacturing / Industrial Equipment industries welcome to apply.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and deliver measurable results with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and open to travel when required.
  • Driven, strategic, and passionate about clean energy growth.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
