Job Description

A global technology-focused multinational corporation is seeking an experienced Corporate Commercial Counsel with a minimum of 7-9 years of post-qualification experience to join its dynamic regional team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of cutting-edge innovation, supporting a wide range of technology-driven initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will advise on complex technology transactions, including structuring, drafting, and negotiating high-value commercial contracts, software licensing, cloud services, and procurement arrangements. The role will also involve providing strategic legal support on regulatory issues, intellectual property, and data privacy matters impacting the business globally.

This would ideally suit a senior lawyer with a strong corporate / commercial or TMT background, gained from a blend of top-tier private practice and an in-house environment. Candidates should demonstrate excellent drafting and negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage cross-border issues in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The role is mainly remote (out of Malaysia), although you may be expected to attend the occasional meeting in KL. It is an initial 6-month contract with the chance of being converted to permanent, and the start date is immediate.
